Updated yesterday

This article applies to all users in the PI2 platform.

The Predictive Index offers the ability for users to log in to their PI account using a business Google or Microsoft account.

How Google or Microsoft sign-in works

When logging in to the PI software, you will see a pair of buttons allowing you to sign-in using either Google or Microsoft.

When you log in with either option, our application interfaces with Google or Microsoft to verify your identity and grant you access to your PI account.

How to log in with Google or Microsoft

  1. Visit the PI login page.

  2. Underneath the username and password fields, you’ll see two additional sign-in options:

    • “Continue with Google”

    • “Continue with Microsoft"

Select your preferred sign-in option. A new window will open.

  3. Log in using your Google or Microsoft account credentials.

  4. Upon successful login, you’ll be redirected to the PI software.

Note: To log in with Google or Microsoft, your organization must use either Google or Microsoft business/enterprise emails.

FAQs

Why should I use Google or Microsoft sign-in?

Google or Microsoft sign-in lets users authenticate themselves without needing to enter their PI credentials. Not only does this save time, but it also reduces the risk of users relying on weak or reused passwords.

Will enabling Google or Microsoft sign-in impact other PI users at my organization?

No. Google/Microsoft sign-in is a user-specific setting that must be enabled on a per-user basis.

Can I disable Google/Microsoft sign-in once it has been enabled?

Users cannot manually disable Google/Microsoft sign-in. To revert to your original PI credentials, please submit a support ticket.

What happens if an employee opted into Google/Microsoft sign-in leaves my organization?

We recommend you archive the employee like normal.

My organization has MFA enabled. Will it still work with Google/Microsoft sign-in?

No. Multi-factor authentication only applies to users that sign in using their PI credentials.

To use MFA with your Google or Microsoft account, you (or your IT team) must enable it directly via Google or Microsoft.

I’m having trouble logging in with Google or Microsoft. What should I do?

  1. Check your email address. Make sure you’re using the same email for Google/Microsoft that you used to create your PI account.

  2. Check your login credentials. Verify that you’ve entered the correct username and password for your Microsoft or Google account. Check for typos or incorrect characters.

  3. Check your internet connection. Ensure you have a stable internet connection and aren’t experiencing any connectivity issues.

  4. Clear your cache. Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then try logging in again.

  5. Disable browser extensions. Disable any browser extensions you have installed, then try logging in again.

  6. Contact your IT team. If you’re still unable to log in with Google or Microsoft, contact your IT team or admin for assistance.

  7. Use recovery options. If you forget your Google or Microsoft password, you can recover it directly from Microsoft or Google using an account recovery option. This typically involves providing a recovery email address or phone number.

I can’t remember my Google or Microsoft password. What now?

You can reset your password directly via Google or Microsoft.
