Deleting a team

Learn how to delete a team in PI Design, so you can keep your data organized and retire teams your organization no longer uses.

Want to clean up your data and retire teams no longer being used? You can do so by deleting that team.

Important: Admins have the ability to delete any team. Limited users, by contrast, can only delete teams they own.

How to delete a team

  1. Log in to the PI software.

  2. Select “Design” from the top navigation bar.

  3. You will land on the Team Discovery homepage.

  4. Search for the team you’d like to delete.

  5. Click the “More actions” button next to the team details.

  6. Click “Delete team” from the available options.

  7. The team will be deleted.

Note: Once a team is deleted, it cannot be restored. Please make sure you no longer need access to the team or its data before you delete it.

FAQs

I don’t see an option to delete the team. Why?

Only admins and team owners can delete a team. To gain the ability to delete a particular team, request that an existing admin make you a Design admin.

Is it possible to restore a deleted team?

Once a team is deleted, it cannot be restored. Please make sure you no longer need access to the team or its data before you delete it.
