Creating and exploring your PI2 demo account

Learn how to create a PI2 demo account, and preview the new experience ahead of your upgrade date.

Updated this week

This article applies to all users in the Legacy PI platform.

Want to preview your new PI experience ahead of your upgrade date? Create a PI2 demo account, and experiment with sample data so you can learn key changes and hit the ground running.

How does the PI2 demo account work?

In the leadup to your upgrade date, you—and anyone else at your organization—can request the creation of a PI2 demo account. This account is unique to each user who requests one, meaning you'll have a demo environment that is entirely yours to explore.

Your PI2 demo account comes equipped with sample data and grants access to the following four PI products:

  • Hire: Avoid mishires, identify great candidates, and reduce churn with PI's flagship assessments.

  • Inspire: Improve employee relationships, and develop great leaders by coaching to behavioral strengths.

  • Design: See how team members influence the overall team dynamic, and crush the work at hand.

  • Diagnose: Pinpoint disengagement and boost retention with PI's science-backed engagement and pulse surveys.

Treat this demo account as a sandbox. Any data you create/manipulate will be wiped when your actual account is upgraded to PI2, so experiment freely! This experience is meant to help you learn the ins and outs of PI2, so you can get a feel for the new interface, get comfortable replicating your existing PI workflows, etc.

Note: Because your demo account is built on sample data, there are some limitations on what you're able to do. (See next section.)

What can't I do in my demo account?

As mentioned before, your account comes pre-populated with sample data: namely jobs, candidates, employees, teams, and surveys. Your demo account also pulls in your own Behavioral Assessment data, allowing you to trial much of the personal content available in PI2.

That said, you won't be able to use your demo account to gather any real data. For example: You cannot send assessments or surveys to real people. By extension, you cannot create a job with real candidates, or create a team with real teammates.

Here's a quick breakdown of what you can and cannot do in your PI2 demo account:

FAQs

Does my PI2 demo account expire?

Yes. Your PI2 demo account expires the same date that you are upgraded to the PI2 software.

Will any data carry over from my demo account?

To avoid sample data getting mixed with your actual data, no data will carry over to your actual PI2 account.

We encourage you to use your PI2 demo account to learn the new interface and familiarize yourself with potential changes to your PI workflows. However, we do not recommend putting any real data investment into PI2, as your progress will not carry over.

Does my PI2 demo account include access to PI Perform?

No. Your PI2 demo account includes access to Hire, Inspire, Design, and Diagnose only.
