Viewing team conversation tips and reminders

View science-powered team tips and reminders in Perform, and learn how to work better with co-workers during everyday meetings.

This article applies to all Perform users in the PI2 software. (Requires an active PI Design subscription.)


We're constantly adding new behavioral insights to Perform, so that you and your teams can leverage PI data right from your workspaces and meetings.

If your organization is also subscribed to PI Design, you can now access new Perform insights in the form of team conversation tips and reminders.

In this article, we'll walk through this new feature and show how you might use it in your next meeting.

Note: Team conversation tips and reminders require an active subscription to both PI Perform and PI Design.

What are team conversation tips and reminders?

Team conversation tips and reminders is a feature designed to help you and your team members work better together during your meetings.

Whenever you're in a group workspace, you will see a navigational link in the top-right that says "Team members & tips."

Clicking that link will open a side panel titled "Team Info." Here, you will be able to view the following information:

  • Team Members: View general PI insights about each workspace member, including their Reference Profile, strengths, cautions, and preferred work style.

  • Tips: View your Team Type from PI Design, plus all-new team tips exclusive to PI Perform: “Team conversation tips” are based on your team's collective strengths, while “team reminders” are based on your collective cautions. You will also see a list of "self reminders," which are 100% private to you.

    Use these tips to see where you can stretch behaviorally to meet the needs of the team.

Note: Your Type Type is based on any team members in your workspace that have completed the PI Behavioral Assessment.

If additional team members take the BA (or you add more employees to an existing group workspace), your Team Type and team tips will repopulate.

How to view team conversation tips and reminders

  1. Log in to PI Perform.

  2. Select a group workspace on the left-hand side.

  3. Click "Team members & tips" in the top-right corner of the workspace.

  4. A panel titled "Team Info" will open.

  5. Click the "Tips" tab (if not already selected).

  6. You will see your team conversation tips, team reminders, and self reminders directly underneath your Team Type.

Note: To ensure team conversation tips and reminders are accurate and helpful, we only populate them in workspaces with 35 or fewer people. If you have a group workspace exceeding that number (e.g., a company-wide workspace), you will not see tips or reminders.

FAQs

I don't see team conversation tips or reminders. Why?

There are a few reasons why you might not see team tips or reminders:

  • You're in a 1:1 workspace. (Tips and reminders only surface in group workspaces.)

  • Your in a group workspace that exceeds 35 people. (To ensure team tips and reminders are helpful, we only populate them in workspaces with 35 or fewer people.)

  • Your organization isn't currently subscribed to PI Design. (These insights are powered by Design.)

Can I access team conversation tips or reminders in PI Design?

Team conversation tips and reminders were written to help teams in the context of a group workspace or meeting. While they leverage Design data, the content itself is exclusive to PI Perform, and cannot be accessed in Design.

Who can see team conversation tips? Team reminders?

Team conversation tips and reminders are visible to all Perform users who have access to the same group workspace.

Who can see my self reminders?

Self reminders are private, and are only visible to you.
