Merge employee records

Product: Platform

Release type: Enhancement

Tentative release window: Late October 2026

Who it's for: Organization admins in PI2

What it solves: Merge duplicate records without needing PI Support

We are excited to share that the ability to merge employee records is coming soon to PI2!

Previously, if users had duplicate employee records, PI Support was often needed to rectify the issue and "merge" the duplicate records together. With this update, organization admins will have that ability themselves.

Note: The following experience is still being finalized; screenshots and navigation labels are subject to change.

How it works

Select between 2 and 5 records in your employee directory, then click the "Actions" button. You will see a new option titled "Merge duplicate records."

A side panel titled "Merge duplicate records" will open. Here, you'll see a summary of the records to be merged, along with other key information including:

  • Each record's name

  • Each record's email address

  • The date each was added to your directory

Directly underneath, you'll have an opportunity to review any mismatching fields between the duplicate records. Select the correct information for each field before proceeding.

If there are any matching fields, those will automatically carry over. You can expand to see those if you'd like.

Finally, if this person has multiple Behavioral Assessment results, you will have an opportunity to set their "active" BA.

Review your selections, then click "Merge records" to confirm.

Note: If 2 or more of the records you're merging have duplicate software access, the system will automatically grant the highest access level for each product to the merged record. If you would like to tweak this further, you can modify this person's access levels post-merge.
