Looking to add an employee to a newly created folder? You can do so by editing that person's details from the Employee directory or Employee access settings page.
How to add an employee to a folder
Log in to the PI software.
Click the gear icon (
) in the top-right of the navigation bar.
You will land on the People tab within Administration.
Search for the person you'd like to add to a folder.
Click on the person's name.
You will land on that person's Edit employee details page.
Click the dropdown menu under "Folder."
Select the desired folder.
Click "Save changes" to confirm.

Is it possible to move multiple employees into a folder at once?
Yes. There are a few ways to bulk move employees to folder.
To bulk move uncategorized employees into a folder:
Click the Folders tab within PI Administration.
Select "Uncategorized employees" on the left-hand side.
You will land on a page titled Uncategorized employees.
Here, you will see any employees who aren't currently organized into a folder.
Select the checkbox(es) next to the employee(s) you'd like to categorize.
Click the dropdown box titled "Bulk move - select folder."
Select the folder to which you'd like to bulk move the selected employees.
A confirmation pop-up will appear.
Click "Confirm."
Repeat as needed until every employee is properly categorized.
To bulk move employees from one folder to another:
Click the Folders tab within PI Administration.
Select "Folders" on the left-hand side.
Select the folder that currently contains the employees you'd like to move.
Click the "Employees" tab.
Select the checkbox(es) next to the employee(s) you'd like to move.
Click the dropdown box titled "Bulk move - select folder."
Select the folder to which you'd like to bulk move the selected employees.
Tip: Alternatively, you can uncategorize these employees by selecting the "(no folder)" option.
A confirmation pop-up will appear.
Click "Confirm."
Repeat as needed with other folders until every employee is properly categorized.
