The Predictive Index’s integration with Microsoft Teams allows you to receive Perform notifications and create action items right within Teams.
How to connect Perform to MS Teams
- Log in to Perform.
- Click “Settings” on the left-hand side.
- Select “Integrations” from the options.
- You’ll land on the integrations page (linked here).
- Scroll down until you see the Teams integration.
- Click on the “Connect” button.
- A tab will open prompting you to log in to your Microsoft Teams account.
- The PI Perform app page will open within Teams.
- Click the “Add” button. (Alternatively, click the dropdown arrow to add to a specific team, chat, or meeting.)
- You will receive a confirmation message within Teams.
- Click “link your existing PI Perform account” near the bottom of the message.
- You will automatically be brought to the notifications page (linked here) within Perform. If the connection is successful, you will see a green banner at the top of your screen.

How to use Perform’s Teams integration
Within a team, chat, or meeting in MS Teams:
- Click the text bar at the bottom of the page.
- Any commands associated with that team, chat, or meeting will appear.
- Find and select either of the following commands:
my_action_items
– This command will list all incomplete action items assigned to you.create_action_item
– This command will let you create an action item within Teams.
How to modify Teams notifications from Perform
Within Perform:
- Click “Settings” on the left-hand side.
- Select “Account Settings” or “Integrations” from the available options.
- Select the “Notifications” tab.
- You’ll land on the notifications page (linked here).
- Scroll down until you see a section titled “Microsoft Teams Notifications.”
- Here, you can customize Teams notifications for any of the following Perform events:
- When you’re assigned an action item or an action item is past due
- When someone adds a comment or mentions you
- When you receive feedback or kudos
- When there’s an upcoming meeting (based on our calendar integration)
- Any changes to your notification settings will be saved automatically.
