To allow your team access to Perform’s Zoom integration, you’ll need admin pre-approval.
If you’ve tried to connect Zoom to Perform but are being prompted to gain admin pre-approval, here’s how to do so.
How do I know if I need pre-approval?
If you’re using a personal Zoom account (free or paid), pre-approval of Zoom apps is not required.
If you’re on a business Zoom account, you will need permission from your Zoom admin.
How to request pre-approval
- Visit our app page within the Zoom App Marketplace.
- Click “Install.”
- Click “Request Pre-approval.”
Getting your request accepted
You’ve requested pre-approval, but your Zoom admin still needs to accept your request.
Here’s how to let them know you’ve requested their help:
- Go to your “Account Profile” page within Zoom Settings (here’s a shortcut to your Account Profile).
- The “Account Owner” line shows the email address of your organization’s Zoom account admin.
- Send your admin an email requesting they reach out to Perform’s support team for any help vetting and/or connecting the Zoom integration. (Feel free to copy and paste the template below.)

YOUR ZOOM ADMIN
Hello,
I am trying to use a free Zoom app called The Predictive Index. Can you please approve it for use?
You should have received an email from Zoom support with these instructions: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/360032447812-Managing-Zoom-Marketplace
You can also approve the app from this Zoom marketplace listing page: https://marketplace.zoom.us/apps/xwlydKrzRnOvk-iYtIX83w
The Predictive Index's security info is avaiable here: https://www.predictiveindex.com/security/.
If you have questions about what the app does, or other security questions, The Predictive Index has a support team you can contact here.
Thank you!
Approving Perform’s Zoom app (Zoom admins)
Are you a Zoom account owner or someone with admin access? Here’s how you can approve the above request:
- Update Zoom Marketplace pre-approval settings for all apps.
- Allow pre-approval for just The Predictive Index.
Note: Account admins need to allow the Zoom Apps button to be visible. We also recommend you turn off pre-approval of Marketplace apps.
Update Zoom Marketplace pre-approval settings for all apps
To adjust your overall pre-approval settings, you can change your Zoom account’s general permissions.
To do so:
- Navigate to https://marketplace.zoom.us/ and sign in as an admin or account owner.
- In the top-right corner of the Marketplace, click “Manage.”
- In the My Admin Dashboard section, click “Permissions.”
- Look for the option titled “Require publicly listed apps on the Zoom App Marketplace to be pre-approved for your users as needed.”
- If the setting is disabled, click the toggle to enable it. If a verification dialog displays, click Turn On to verify the change.
- (Optional) Select the “Allow publicly listed apps created by Zoom to be installed without admin pre-approval” checkbox to exempt Zoom-created apps from pre-approval by an admin.
- (Optional) Select the “Allow publicly listed apps created by users in your account to be installed without admin pre-approval” checkbox to exempt apps created by a member of your organization from pre-approval by an admin.
Allow pre-approval for just The Predictive Index
Alternatively, Zoom account owners and admins can search for any app on the Zoom Marketplace and pre-approve just one.
Here’s how:
- Sign in to https://marketplace.zoom.us/.
- Search for an app and click on the icon to select it.
- In the “Who can install” section, enable the “Pre-approve” toggle.
By default, “Allow all users on your account to install this app” is selected. If you would like to instead pre-approve the app for certain users or groups:
- Select “Allow specific users or user groups to install this app.”
- Click “Add users.”
- Add users with the following options:
- Add an individual user: Enter the email address of the user in your account and click “Add.” Repeat this process as necessary to include additional users.
- Add a user group: Enter the group name of the user group in your account and click “Add.” Repeat this process as necessary to include additional user groups.
Note: A combination of individual users and user groups can be given access to a pre-approved app.
For more details on this process, visit Zoom’s support center for admin deployment (linked here).
