Deleting a job

Deleting a job helps you keep your data organized in the event a job is no longer needed.

Note: You can only delete a job that has no candidates attached to it.

How to delete a job

There are two areas where you can take this action:

  • The Hiring Center

  • The Job Details page

To delete a job from the Hiring Center:

  1. Log in to the PI software.

  2. Select Hire from the navigation bar.

  3. You'll land on the Hiring Center.

  4. Find (or search for) the job you'd like to delete.

  5. Click the ellipsis button () on the right-hand side.

  6. Select "Delete this job."

  7. You will see a confirmation message reminding you this is a permanent action.

    If you have pending candidates attached to the job, you will see a note confirming that the Behavioral Assessment link associated with the job will no longer work.

    If existing candidates are attached, an error message will show, asking you to move the candidates to a different job before proceeding.

  8. Confirm to delete.

To delete a job from the Job Details page:

  1. Log in to the PI software.

  2. Select Hire from the navigation bar.

  3. You'll land on the Hiring Center.

  4. Click on the job you'd like to delete.

  5. Select the "More actions" button in the top-right corner.

  6. Select "Delete this job."

  7. You will see a confirmation message reminding you this is a permanent action.

    If you have pending candidates attached to the job, you will see a note confirming that the Behavioral Assessment link associated with the job will no longer work.

    If existing candidates are attached, an error message will show, asking you to move the candidates to a different job before proceeding.

  8. Confirm to delete.

  9. Return to the Hiring Center. You will see the changes reflected.
