Modifying assessment settings (Platform)

Learn how to modify assessment settings within The Predictive Index, including assessment expiration dates and a custom consent function.

This article applies to organization admins in the PI2 platform.

Use the Assessment Settings page to modify the number of days before assessment invitations expire, and to enable additional assessment settings.

How to modify assessment settings (Platform)

  1. Log in to the PI software.

  2. Click the gear icon () in the top-right of the navigation bar.

  3. You will land on the People tab within the Administration page.

  4. Click the Organization Settings tab.

  5. Select “Assessment Settings” on the left-hand side.

  6. You will land on the Assessment Settings page.

What assessment settings are available?

The Assessment Settings page includes the following settings:

  • Assessment Invitation Expiration

  • Automated Assessment Reminders

  • Additional Settings

Tip: Looking for assessment notifications and candidate links? Both are handled at the job level in Hire. Learn how to modify job-level assessment settings.

Assessment Invitation Expiration

The Assessment Invitation Expiration setting lets you set how long Behavioral Cognitive Assessment invitations stay active before expiring.

There are two independent settings:

  • Behavioral Assessment Duration: Select how many days PI Behavioral Assessment invitations are active before expiring. (You can choose any duration between 4 and 30 days.)

  • Cognitive Assessment Duration: Select how many days PI Cognitive Assessment invitations are active before expiring. (You can choose any duration between 4 and 30 days.)

Automated Assessment Reminders

The Automated Assessment Reminders setting lets you enable automatic follow-up emails for all PI assessments sent by your organization via email or integration.

To enable global assessment reminders, enable the "Send automated reminders" checkbox.

Once enabled, click the "Send after [X] days" dropdown menu to set the default schedule for these automated reminder emails. (You can choose any duration between 1 and 7 days.)

By default, all Behavioral and Cognitive Assessments will follow the global default you just set. However, you can also allow for users to override this default at the job level in Hire.

To allow Hire users to override assessment reminder durations, enable the checkbox titled: "Allow user to change the 'send after' time at the job level."

Tip: When the above setting is enabled, Hire users will be able to set their own assessment reminder durations. They can do so from the Assessment Settings page within a specific job. (If they don't override the default, assessments for that job will follow the global default.)

Additional Settings

Within Additional Settings, you'll see a checkbox titled "Enable consent function for Behavioral Assessment."

Enable this checkbox, and a box will appear allowing you to type a consent message.

Hit "Save Changes" to implement the consent function.

Upon saving, anyone who is sent the Behavioral Assessment will be presented with that content message and asked to confirm before taking the survey.

FAQs

General questions

Do global assessment settings apply to candidates, employees, or both?

The assessment settings you set in PI Administration apply to both candidates and employees.

Example: Your organization admin set the Behavioral Assessment Duration as 14 days, enabled automated reminders after 7 days, and enabled the consent function. These settings will take effect not just for BAs users send to candidates from Hire, but also for BAs users send to colleagues from Inspire.

Automated assessment reminders

Do automated assessment reminders follow business days/hours?

No. Automated assessment reminders do not adhere to business days/hours.

Example: A candidate receives the Behavioral Assessment on a Friday. Your organization has set an automated reminder default of 3 days. The candidate will receive a reminder email on Monday (not Wednesday).

Assessment languages

Where can I modify language settings for assessments?

Currently, you cannot modify language settings for assessments in PI2. Any assessment you send will default to the English language.

That said, assessment takers will be prompted to select their preferred language before taking the actual assessment.

The ability to set default language settings for assessments will be available in the future.
