This article applies to organization admins and third-party user in the PI2 platform.
Your organization's fit rating display dictates how a candidate's behavioral fit data and cognitive fit data are presented in PI Hire. This display setting can be modified at any time by an organization admin or third-party user.
Important: Fit rating display is an organization-wide setting that applies to all Hire users in the PI2 software. Make sure to notify these users before you change this setting.
What fit rating displays are available in Hire?
Candidate fit data can be presented via 2 different fit rating displays:
Visual: Displays behavioral fit data on a 5-star scale, in 0.5-point increments from 0.5 stars to 5 stars. Displays cognitive fit data on a 3-range scale: either "cautionary," "moderate," or "strong."
Numerical: Displays behavioral fit data and cognitive fit data as two independent 10-point scales, each from 1 to 10.
How to change your organization's fit rating display
Log in to the PI software.
Select the gear icon in the top-right corner.
You'll land in PI Administration.
Select the "Organization Settings" tab.
Select "Hire Settings" on the left-hand side.
Under "Fit rating display," select your organization's preferred view for candidate fit data.
Hit "Save changes" to confirm.
All candidate fit data in Hire will be updated to reflect the display setting you selected.
Important: If you use an ATS integration with PI, such as Greenhouse or Paylocity, those integrations will only display data using the "Visual" display. You're still welcome to switch to the "Numerical" display setting, but that display will only show within Hire itself, not your ATS of choice.
Example: Your organization uses the Greenhouse ATS integration but has the "Numerical" fit rating display enabled in the PI software.
Within Hire, you'll see candidate behavioral fit data and cognitive fit data shown as individual 10-point scales. However, in Greenhouse, behavioral fit data will still be depicted on a star scale from 0.5 to 5, and cognitive fit data will still be depicted as either a "strong," "moderate," or "cautionary" fit.
FAQs
General questions
Is there a fit rating display that combines both behavioral and cognitive fit rating?
Is there a fit rating display that combines both behavioral and cognitive fit rating?
No. Behavioral fit data and cognitive fit data are always presented on independent scales. This is an intentional decision, as we believe strongly that users should look at behavioral fit and cognitive fit as separate (yet holistic) data points when making hiring decisions.
That said, we recently added the ability for users to filter candidates by minimum behavioral fit data and minimum cognitive fit data. You can use these filters together, allowing you to weigh both data points according to the exact needs and rigor of your hiring process.
Is there a "match score" fit rating display?
Is there a "match score" fit rating display?
No. In the legacy PI software, there was a feature known as "match score," which would allow you to set different weights for behavioral and cognitive fit data, then view the output as a combined match score. In lieu of match score, we recommend leveraging the "Numerical" fit rating display, along with fit rating filters in Hire.
