Improvements to PI2 software invitations
Product: Platform
Release type: Enhancement
Tentative release date: June 9, 2026
We are streamlining the software invitation flow in Administration to make it easier to create new employee records and (if you so choose) grant those employees software access to the PI2 platform.
What's changing?
"Add Employee" button
Previously, admins could invite new employees into the PI2 software by clicking the "Invite Users" button.
With this release, we're replacing that button with a new one: Add Employee.
Upon clicking the button, a new panel, "Add new employee record," will open.
Here, you'll be able to create an individual employee record from scratch (no more uploading an org file for a single new record!). Provide just their name and email, or add optional data such as job title, manager, department, and location.
Click "Send Behavioral Assessment" to auto-send this employee the BA upon creating their record.
Similarly, click "Grant software access" if you would also like to invite this employee to use the PI2 software.
Upon clicking "Grant software access," you will see the ability to set this employee's exact product access levels. Choose which products they should have access to and which level of permissions they should have, or make them an organization admin to grant them access to all products.
If you decide to make an employee an org admin, you will also have an option to make them a cognitive admin.
Once satisfied with your choices, click "Add employee" to create their record (and send the BA and/or grant them software access, if applicable).
Grant/revoke software access flow
We've also updated the process of granting/revoking software access for existing employee records.
Click into an employee's record, and you'll see a simplified "Grant employee access" checkbox (if they don't already have access to the PI2 software."
Click that checkbox, and you'll see the full access level customization panel.
Customize the employee's access levels to your liking, then click "Save changes" to confirm.
The employee will be sent an email inviting them to create a PI account and join you in the PI2 software.
If the employee has not yet accepted their software invitation email, you will see a "Pending" chip. You will also see 2 buttons: "Resend invitation" and "Disable software access."
Similarly, if the employee has accepted their invitation email and joined you in the software, you will only see 1 button: "Disable software access."
In either case, clicking "Disable software access" will pull up a confirmation modal.
Confirm with "Disable access," and you'll revoke this employee's software access and prevent them from being able to access any of the PI2 products.
You can restore their access at any time. To do so, navigate back to the employee record and click "Re-enable software access."
You will be presented with the access customization panel once again. (It will default to the access levels this employee previously had, but you're free to modify these levels before restoring access.)
Click "Save changes" to restore access.
