Deleting a job helps you keep your data organized in the event a job is no longer needed.

Note: You can only delete a job that has no candidates attached to it.

How to delete a job

There are two areas where you can take this action:

  • The Hiring Center
  • The Job Details page

To delete a job from the Hiring Center:

  1. Log in to the PI software.
  2. Select Hire from the navigation bar.
  3. You’ll land on the Hiring Center.
  4. Find (or search for) the job you’d like to delete.
  5. Click the ellipsis button on the right-hand side.
  6. Select “Delete this job.”
  7. You will see a prompt reminding you this is a permanent action.

If you have pending candidates attached to the job, you will see a note confirming that the Behavioral Assessment link associated with the job will no longer work.

If existing candidates are attached, an error message will show, asking you to move the candidates to a different job before proceeding.

To delete a job from the Job Details page:

  1. Log in to the PI software.
  2. Select Hire from the navigation bar.
  3. You’ll land on the Hiring Center.
  4. Click on the job you’d like to delete.
  5. Select the ellipsis button () next to the job name at the top of the screen.
  6. Select “Delete this job.”
  7. Return to the Hiring Center. You will see the changes reflected.
