Viewing an employee’s Snapshot

Learn how to view a person's Snapshot in PI Inspire, and gain insights into preferred work style, strengths, and potential caution areas.

This article applies to all Inspire users in the PI2 platform.


Every employee in Inspire has their own Snapshot page. The Snapshot describes a person’s behavioral identity at a glance.

How to view an employee's Snapshot

To view an employee's Snapshot:

  1. Log in to PI Inspire.

  2. From the Inspire homepage, find the search box on the right-hand side.

  3. Search for the employee whose behavioral data you'd like to see.

  4. Select their name from the dropdown options.

  5. You’ll land on that person's Snapshot page.

What’s the difference between the Snapshot page in Inspire and the PDF download?

The PDF contains identical content to the Snapshot within Inspire. Feel free to use whichever format you prefer.

How do I find my own Snapshot page in Inspire?

To view your own Snapshot page:

  1. Log in to PI Inspire.

  2. From the Inspire homepage, find the left-hand box with your name.

  3. Click “View more.”

  4. You’ll land on your Snapshot page.

Is it possible to download or email an employee's Snapshot?

The Snapshot isn't currently available to download or email as a dedicated resource. That said, it's included on the first 3 pages of an employee's Behavioral Report, which you're free to download or email at any time.

To download an employee's Behavioral Report:

  1. Visit an employee's Snapshot page.

  2. Click the "Email or download reports" button in the top-right.

  3. A menu titled “Email or Download Reports” will appear.

  4. Select “Behavioral Report” from the list of resources.

  5. (Optional) Select your preferred language for the Behavioral Report.

  6. (Optional) Select any additional resources you’d like to download.

  7. Click the “Download items” button.

  8. A PDF will download containing the employee's Behavioral Report.

  9. You’ll find the person's Snapshot on pages 1–3 of the report.

Note: If you select additional resources, they will download as separate PDFs.

To email an employee's Behavioral Report:

  1. Visit an employee's Snapshot page.

  2. Click the "Email or download reports" button in the top-right.

  3. A menu titled “Email or Download Reports” will appear.

  4. Select “Behavioral Report” from the list of resources.

  5. (Optional) Select your preferred language for the Behavioral Report.

  6. (Optional) Select any additional resources you’d like to email.

  7. Click the “Email items” button.

  8. You'll be prompted to select the person(s) you'd like to email this report to.

    Note: You can choose to email to yourself, to the employee, or to the employee's manager. You can also include up to 10 additional people by entering their email addresses.

  9. (Optional) Customize the email content. (This email also includes some preset copy, which you can preview before sending.)

  10. Send out the email by clicking "Email report(s)."

  11. The recipient will find the person's Snapshot on pages 1–3 of the report.

Our organization isn't subscribed to Inspire. What behavioral insights can we see for employees?

The Inspire product is dedicated to employee behavioral insights. If you aren't subscribed to Inspire, you won't be able to access the Snapshot or other tools, such as the employee Behavioral Report or employee Relationship Guide.

That said, even if you don't currently subscribe to Inspire, you can view a limited version of an employee's behavioral insights by searching for that employee using the global search function.

Troubleshooting

When I navigate to Inspire, I can't see anything or search for any employees. Why?

The answer depends. Here are the most common reasons who might not see anything when visiting Inspire:

When I navigate to Inspire, I'm prompted to "Take the assessment." Why?

If you go to Inspire but see a panel titled "Great relationships are built on awareness" with a prompt to "Take the assessment," it means you have not yet taken the PI Behavioral Assessment.

Taking the BA is a prerequisite for being able to view yourself (or other employees) in Inspire. Once you take the BA, you will be able to access Inspire in full.
