As you populate your Employee Directory, you may wish to export your organization data to share outside the software. Doing so takes just a few clicks.
What file formats are supported?
Any data you export will automatically be downloaded as a comma-separated values (CSV) file.
The CSV format is supported by most major spreadsheet programs, including Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
What information is included in the CSV?
The CSV file contains the following fields:
First Name
Last Name
Employee Email
Job Title
Last Job Association (refers to the last job this person was associated with in PI Hire)
Manager Email
Last Modified (refers to the last time this person's details were edited in Administration)
Factor A (refers to the employee's sigma value for this factor)
Factor B (")
Factor C (")
Factor D (")
Factor E (")
Date BA Completed (refers to the completion date for the Behavioral Assessment currently set as active for this employee)
Behavioral Score ID (refers to the BSID currently set as active for this employee)
Cog Score
Date CA Completed
Note: You will only see the above information if it’s been recorded. For example, if Jane Doe has no recorded job title in the PI system, the “job title” cell in the CSV will be blank.

FAQs
Is there an option to "select all" employees for CSV export?
Is there an option to "select all" employees for CSV export?
Technically, our platform doesn't currently support the ability to select all employees at once. That said, you can select all employees on a page, making it relatively easy to export all data.
To select all employees:
Click "Results per page" dropdown in the bottom-right corner.
Select "100" from the available options. (This will make it easier to bulk-select employees in fewer clicks.)
Click the checkbox in the top-left corner of the employee directory. (This will select all employees on the page, up to 100 employees total.)
If your organization has more than 100 employees, proceed to the next page of your directory.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you've selected all employees at your organization.
Proceed to export your CSV file.
Why isn’t “X” person included in the CSV?
Why isn’t “X” person included in the CSV?
This can happen for a variety of reasons. To troubleshoot:
Confirm whether the person is present in the Employee Directory.
If not, add their information by inviting the person or uploading an updated org file.
When downloading the CSV, verify that you’ve selected the checkbox next to their name.
How do I interpret the values for "Factor A," "Factor B," etc.?
How do I interpret the values for "Factor A," "Factor B," etc.?
The numbers under the Factor headers are known as "sigma values."
For additional guidance on interpreting Factors, Factor Combinations, and sigma values, leverage the PI Assistant. (Currently in beta; not yet available to all accounts.)

If an employee has multiple sets of CA results, the system will default to the employee's highest cognitive score. (The "Date CA Completed" field will reflect the date that particular CA was taken.)
In what scenarios would I want to include cognitive data in my data export?
In what scenarios would I want to include cognitive data in my data export?
Generally, you won't need to include cognitive data when exporting employee data. Cognitive data is only leveraged in PI Hire, and is intended for use solely for hiring — not for making post-hire decisions.
For this reason, we strongly recommend only including cognitive data in your file export when using it strictly within your hiring team.
What does the "Folder Path" column in my CSV export refer to?
What does the "Folder Path" column in my CSV export refer to?
If you see the "Folder Path" column in your CSV file, it means your organization upgraded from a legacy version of the PI software. This column refers to the folder an employee was previously associated with upon upgrading to PI2.
Note: The ability to organize employees into folders has been retired from the PI2 software. (Job folders remain in place.) Feel free to use the Folder Path column as a helpful reference for re-organizing your data in PI2.
Is it possible to view an employee's cognitive data from the directory, without exporting to a CSV?
Is it possible to view an employee's cognitive data from the directory, without exporting to a CSV?
No. PI cognitive data is validated only for use in hiring, and is not intended for use in post-hire development. For this reason, the only place you'll see an employee's cognitive data within the PI software (without exporting as a CSV) is in Hire, within the role they were originally hired for. From Hire, you can view their candidate data (and by extension any related cognitive data) at any time.
