Exporting candidate data

Learn how to download candidate data as a CSV file, so you can export assessment results and other candidate data.

Updated yesterday

This article applies to all Hire users in the PI2 platform.

Want to review candidate data in bulk outside of the PI software? Hire includes the ability to download candidate data as a CSV file.

Note: The ability to export candidate data is only available via the job page — not the candidates list. We plan to add this functionality in the future.

How to download candidate data as a CSV

  1. Log in to the PI software.

  2. Select Hire from the top navigation bar.

  3. You will land on the Hiring Center.

  4. Select the job whose candidates you'd like to export.

  5. You will land on the job page.

  6. Click the "More actions" button in the top-right corner. (This button is accessible from any of the 3 job tabs: Job Target, Job Ad Optimizer, or Candidates.)

  7. Select "Download candidate CSV" from the dropdown options.

  8. A pop-up will appear asking if you'd like to include cognitive data. (You will only see this pop-up if you've been granted cognitive access by a cognitive admin.)

  9. Choose whether to include cognitive data. (We strongly recommend only including cognitive data in your file export when using it strictly within your hiring team.)

  10. Click "Download report" to confirm.

  11. You will see a "processing" message, followed by a success message.

  12. The file will download via your browser.

What's included in the candidate CSV download?

The candidate CSV download includes the following fields:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Email

  • Job Title

  • Behavioral Job Fit Score (refers to the candidate's Behavioral Fit rating; "10" equals 5 stars, "5" equals 2.5 stars, etc.)

  • Factor A (refers to the candidate's sigma value for this factor)

  • Factor B (")

  • Factor C (")

  • Factor D (")

  • Factor E (")

  • Date BA Completed (refers to the date the candidate completed the PI Behavioral Assessment)

  • Date CA Completed (refers to the date the candidate completed the PI Cognitive Assessment)

  • Cognitive Fit (either "Cautionary," "Moderate," or "Strong)

  • Scaled Cognitive Score (ranges from 100 to 450)

Note: You will only see the above information if it’s been recorded. For example, if Jane Doe has no recorded cognitive data in the PI system, the “Cognitive Fit” cell in the CSV will be blank.

FAQs

How do I interpret the values for "Factor A," "Factor B," etc.?

The numbers under the Factor headers are known as "sigma values."

If "X" candidate has multiple Cognitive Assessment results, which shows up on the CSV?

If a candidate has multiple sets of CA results, the system will default to the candidate's highest cognitive score. (The "Date CA Completed" field will reflect the date that particular CA was taken.)

In what scenarios would I want to include cognitive data in my data export?

Cognitive data is intended for use solely for hiring. For this reason, we strongly recommend only including cognitive data in your file export when using it strictly within your hiring team.

I don't see the option to include cognitive data in the candidate CSV file. Why?

You must have cognitive access to export candidate cognitive data. To gain access, reach out to a cognitive admin.

I'd like to export employee data. Where can I do that?
