How to configure PI’s Paylocity integration
The configuration process consists of three main steps:
1. Create a new PI user account.
To integrate The Predictive Index with Paylocity, you must first specify a PI account within your organization to be used for the configuration. This account must remain active for the integration to operate successfully.
Note: We strongly recommend you create a generic “PI Integrations” account that isn’t tied to a specific individual at your organization.
To create this account:
Create a company email for this account (e.g., [email protected]).
Store the email and password in a secure place accessible to any organization admin(s).
Send a PI invitation to the email the same way you would invite any employee.
Under the Product access section, make sure you make this account an organization admin.
(Optional) If you intend on using the PI Cognitive Assessment with Paylocity, also make this account a cognitive admin.
Log in to the new email account and finish the PI account creation process.
Once you’ve created a password for this PI account, you’re good to proceed. (Make sure you’re logged back into your normal PI account for the rest of this process.)
Once you’ve created your dedicated integrations account, you’ll need to select it from PI’s Paylocity configuration page. To do so:
Follow these steps to find the Paylocity configuration page.
Select the dropdown under the header titled “PI’s ‘On Behalf Of’ user account.”
Select the generic account you just created.
2. Enable/disable Behavioral Report auto-send.
Directly underneath the account selection, you’ll see a toggle titled “Auto-send Behavioral Report to candidates.”
Choose whether to enable or disable this setting. (You can change this setting later.)
3. Input Company IDs from Paylocity to associate with the integration.
The final part of the configuration process requires information from the Paylocity side.
Within PI’s Paylocity configuration screen, you’ll see a header titled “Manage Company IDs.” Here, you’ll enter any Company IDs you’d like to associate with your Paylocity account.
Note: To configure the integration, you’ll need to enter at least 1 Company ID.
Enter the relevant Company IDs from Paylocity, then click “Save changes” to confirm.
You will see a message confirming the configuration was saved.
You’re all set! For help using the actual integration (e.g., associating PI jobs with Paylocity jobs, sending candidate data to Paylocity), please view our video walkthrough.
