Adding behavioral results for an existing employee via BSID

Learn how to add an employee’s behavioral results via Behavioral Score ID (BSID), and keep their data up to date.

Updated this week

This article applies to organization admins and third-party users in the PI2 platform.

Have a set of Behavioral Assessment (BA) results that aren’t currently associated with an employee’s PI profile? You can add those results by inputting the relevant Behavioral Score ID (BSID).

How inputting employee BSIDs work

Each set of Behavioral Assessment results has its own distinct Behavioral Score ID. When an employee completes the BA, they will receive an email including a summary of the results, plus that BSID.

In most cases, the PI software will automatically add an employee’s BA results to their profile. However, there are certain cases where these results might not get added properly.

Example: Evan completed the Behavioral Assessment as a candidate. He was later hired, but his candidate data was deleted before it could be transferred to his employee record.

If you encounter a relevant scenario, you can manually add the employee’s results, provided you have the relevant BSID. This process does not overwrite existing assessment results; instead, it adds to a list of BA results for this employee, which you can view/manage at any time.

How to associate a BSID with an existing employee

  1. Log in to the PI software.

  2. Select the gear icon () from the top-right corner.

  3. You will land on your employee directory.

  4. Search for the person whose BSID you’d like to add.

  5. Click into their profile.

  6. You will land on their “Edit employee details” page.

  7. Find the field named “Behavioral Score ID (BSID).”

  8. Click the “Manage assessment” button.

  9. A panel titled “Manage assessment” will open.

  10. Expand the section titled “Add assessment via Behavioral Score ID (BSID).”

  11. Input the BSID of the results you’d like to add. (It’ll be a 10-digit figure in the format “XXX-XXXX-XXX.”)

  12. Enter the assessment completion date. (If you’re not sure, enter your best estimate.)

  13. Click “Add assessment.”

  14. You will see a success message confirming the assessment results were added.

Important: Once a new set of BA results is added for an employee, it first needs to be “set as active.” Otherwise, the PI system will continue using whatever BA results were last set for this person.

Exception: If the employee has no existing BA results, the first BSID you add will automatically be set as active.

FAQs

Does adding a new BSID overwrite existing assessment results?

No. This process does not overwrite existing assessment results; instead, it adds to a list of BA results for this employee, which you can view/manage at any time.

How do I set an assessment “as active”?

I want to add a BSID for a candidate. How?

Is it possible to create a new employee record via BSID?

Not currently, no. Adding a BSID only works for an existing employee in the PI system. If the employee doesn’t exist in the system at all, you’ll have to first create their profile, then add the BSID.

The easiest way to do this is by uploading an org file with the person’s information. When prompted to send the Behavioral Assessment, skip this step, as you’ll be inputting the BA results yourself. This will create a new profile for the employee.

Once you’ve created this profile, you can then manually add the employee’s BA results via BSID, as outlined above.
