This article applies to all Hire users in the PI2 platform.
In addition to sharing a job with other employees, PI Hire users can transfer job ownership to another user.
Doing so allows you to "hand over" the responsibilities associated with this job to a new owner (e.g., the hiring manager), so they can see all relevant data and receive pertinent notifications.
Tip: Want to grant view or edit access to a job, but don't want to give up ownership? Share the job instead.
How to transfer ownership of a job (i.e., change the job owner)
Log in to the PI software.
Select Hire from the top navigation bar.
Search for and select the job for which you'd like to transfer ownership.
Select the "More actions" button in the top-right corner.
Select "Share job" from the dropdown options.
Share the job with the soon-to-be new owner (if you haven't already).
Re-open the share panel.
Expand the panel titled "See who already has access to this job.”
Look for the name or email address of the person to whom you’d like to transfer ownership.
Under the Permission section, click the dropdown menu.
Select “Transfer ownership.”
That person will become the new job owner. Your changes will save automatically.
Note: You can only transfer ownership if you are an admin or the existing owner of the job.
Important: By default, the owner of the job is the person who will receive assessment notifications whenever a candidate completes an assessment. (This default cannot be customized.)
Make sure you're transferring the job to someone who is comfortable receiving email notifications from The Predictive Index.
Why transfer job ownership?
Owning a job is similar to having "edit" access via the share panel. You'll be able to view all candidates associated with the job, send assessments, set Job Targets, and more.
The major difference between having "edit" access and owning a job is that the job owner receives all assessment completion notifications by default.
Example: You're an HR admin or IT expert responsible for getting hiring managers and recruiters up and running with PI Hire. If you aren't the person actively hiring for the job in question, you'll want to transfer ownership to the requisite person, so they can receive candidate notifications.
Exception: When sending assessments from the PI Hire software, the default assessment notification recipient cannot be changed — it is always the job owner.
However, if you're sending assessments via a candidate assessment link, you can change who receives assessment notifications manually, without needing to transfer job ownership.
