Which employees have a Coaching Guide?

A Coaching Guide is available for any employee who meets the following criteria:

Who can access an employee’s Coaching Guide?

To access an employee’s Coaching Guide, you must have the following:

  • Access to Inspire
  • Access to the relevant job in Hire

How to access an employee’s Coaching Guide

  1. Log in to PI Inspire.
  2. You’ll land on the Inspire home page.
  3. Enter the employee’s name into the search bar.
  4. Select the intended name from the option(s) that populate.
  5. Click the Development tab.
  6. On the left-hand side, look for the section titled “Coaching [Employee Name].”
  7. Select “Coaching Guide.”


I don’t see an option to select the Coaching Guide for “X” person. Why?
There are a few common reasons why you might not see the Coaching Guide:

1. This employee doesn’t have a Coaching Guide. (See: Which employees have a Coaching Guide?)

2. You don’t have access to view the relevant job in Hire. (To get access, ask someone with access to share the job with you.)

3. Your organization isn’t subscribed to both PI Hire and PI Inspire. (Learn how to upgrade your PI subscription.)
How can I modify who sees which Coaching Guides?
Access to the Coaching Guide is tied to job access in Hire. By default, anyone with access to Inspire and access to the relevant job will be able to view a person’s Coaching Guide.

To modify access to a specific Coaching Guide, you can change who is shared on the associated job in Hire.

Note: Organization admins and Hire admins can view all jobs—and therefore can view all Coaching Guides. Learn more about access levels.
