Looking to download survey reports for the PI Employee Experience ("XP") Survey, but not sure which type of report to choose?
In this article, we'll walk through the different types of XP Survey reports and explain how respondent subset groups work.
What types of XP Survey reports are available?
When downloading reports for the XP Survey, you will see 3 different "subset" options:
Organization reports
Overall manager reports
Direct manager reports
By clicking on a specific subset, you will then be able to select various survey resources that pertain to that subset.

What's the difference between each subset?
Let's walk through each respondent subset group, so you can download the right reports for your needs.
Organization reports
These reports include feedback from everyone at your organization who completed the survey.
Example: Your entire organization recently completed the XP Survey, and you intend to provide a company-wide readout of the results. To do so, you would pull from the "Organization reports" option.
Overall manager reports
These reports include feedback from every survey respondent who rolls up to a specific manager (e.g., a department report).
Note: The manager's own XP Survey responses are not included in "overall manager report" resources.
Example: Following your presentation, your SVP of Sales, Megan Randolph, expresses interest in a department-level readout. To generate that report, you would select "Overall manager reports" and select Megan's name when prompted.
Direct manager reports
These reports include feedback only from respondents who directly report to a specific manager (e.g., a team report).
Note: The manager's own XP Survey responses are not included in "direct manager report" resources.
Example: Elsewhere at your organization, your Director of Marketing, Stan Wolfe, would like to do a readout just with his immediate reports. To generate this report, select "Direct manager reports" followed by Stan's name.

Is the manager's own XP Survey feedback included as a response?
The answer depends on the specific respondent subset group:
