This article applies to any employee taking a Diagnose engagement survey from The Predictive Index (PI).
PI Diagnose's engagement surveys can be taken in 13 different languages. In this article, we'll walk through the different language options available to employees, so they can share feedback in the language most comfortable to them.
What survey languages does Diagnose support?
Any surveys sent from Diagnose can be completed in the following 13 languages:
Chinese (Simplified)
Danish
Dutch
English
French
German
Italian
Korean
Polish
Portuguese (Brazil)
Russian
Spanish (Modern Sort)
Swedish
Note: These language options apply only to the survey-taker's experience; the PI software itself is English-only. We plan to localize the PI software in the future.
Example: Abby is an HR leader responsible for sending out an engagement survey to her employee base. To do so, she logs in to the PI software, then selects and sends her survey. This entire process takes place in English.
An employee accepts an invite to complete the survey. On the survey website, the employee will be able to select their preferred language from 13 available options.
How do employees select their preferred language?
When taking a Diagnose engagement survey, employees will see an option to select their language in the top-right corner of the survey experience.
From here, the employee should:
Click the language selector dropdown.
Choose their preferred language from the options. (The employee might need to scroll to see the full list of languages.)
The survey will automatically update into the selected language.
Note: If the survey has custom questions, those questions will not be translated into the new language. As a general best practice, we recommend writing each custom question so that it supports all languages in which your organization actively does business.
Example: You organization does business in 2 languages: English and French. If your survey contains custom questions, we recommend writing the question description in English and again in French, all as one question.
Here's how a Likert-scale question might follow this structure:
I have the resources I need to succeed in my job / J'ai les ressources nécessaires pour réussir dans mon travail
Strongly agree / Tout à fait d'accord
Agree / D'accord
Neither agree nor disagree / Ni en désaccord ni d'accord
Disagree / Pas d'accord
Strongly disagree / Pas du tout d'accord
