Copying a job

Learn how to copy a job in PI Hire, so you can easily replicate an existing job or Job Target.

Updated this week

This article applies to all Hire users in the PI2 platform.

Have an existing job (or Job Target) you'd like to repurpose for a different pool of candidates? The easiest way to do so is by making a copy of that job.

How to copy a job

  1. Log in to the PI software.

  2. Select Hire from the top navigation bar.

  3. You will land on the Hiring Center.

  4. Search for the job you'd like to copy.

  5. Click the "More actions" button () on the right-hand side.

  6. Select "Make a copy" from the dropdown options.

  7. A confirmation pop-up will appear.

  8. (Optional) Enter a new name for your copied job.

  9. (Optional) Select whether to also copy the job's Cognitive Target. (This option only appears if the existing job has an active Cognitive Target.)

  10. Confirm my clicking "Make a copy."

  11. A confirmation message will appear in the lower right-hand corner.

  12. You will be brought to the new job page to modify your Job Target and/or send assessments to candidates.

Note: Candidates in the existing job are not carried over to the copied job. However, you can manually move candidates between these jobs at any time.

FAQs

I don't see an option to copy over the Cognitive Target. Why?

There are two reasons why you might not see this option:

  1. The existing job does not have an active Cognitive Target set.

  2. You do not have cognitive access (and thus don't have permission to see cognitive data).

I don't want to copy over the existing Behavioral Target. What now?

The Behavioral Target automatically carries over when copying a job.

In this case, you're likely better off creating a new job from scratch.
